Overview

Repliq is a theater rehearsal app for amateur actors of all ages. We collect as little data as possible and store most of it on your device.

What stays on your device

  • All rehearsal data (scores, sessions, statistics)
  • Audio from speech recognition — never sent to our servers. The app uses your device's built-in speech recognizer (Apple Speech Recognition on iOS), which may send audio to Apple for processing. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
  • Your app settings and preferences

What is sent to our server

When you add a new script, the text you paste is sent to our server for processing:

  • Script parsing — your script text is sent to an AI service to identify characters and dialogue lines.
  • Voice generation — dialogue lines are sent to a text-to-speech service to generate character voices.

We do not send your name, email, or any personal identifiers — the app has no accounts or sign-up.

Third-party services

We use third-party services to process script text, generate character voices, and host the resulting audio files. These providers may retain data they process for a limited time for logging, debugging, or abuse prevention, subject to their own privacy policies.

Speech recognition is handled by your device's operating system (Apple Speech Recognition on iOS), which may send audio to Apple for processing.

Analytics and crash reporting

We may use analytics and crash reporting tools to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs. If we do, these tools may collect anonymized usage data and crash logs. We will update this policy with specific providers when they are added.

Children's privacy

Repliq is rated 12+. The app does not collect personal information, does not require an account, and does not include advertising or social features.

Data deletion

Since all rehearsal data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app removes all your data. Script text and generated audio cached on our server are not linked to any user identity and cannot be traced back to you.
