We usually reply within a day or two. If you’re writing about a specific script, tell us its title — it helps us find the problem faster.

Common questions

My director gave me a code. What do I do with it?

Open Répliq, tap Have a code from your director? on the home screen, and type it in. You’ll be asked to sign in with Apple first — a shared script belongs to an account so it can follow you to a new phone and receive your director’s later corrections.

Importing a script and rehearsing it are free, always. Nobody in a cast pays.

The other characters sound robotic.

That’s the fallback voice, and it means the prepared audio for those lines hasn’t reached your device. Almost always it’s a script whose download didn’t finish.

Leave the rehearsal, make sure you have a connection, and start it again — the App checks its audio at the start of every rehearsal and fetches anything missing. If it still sounds wrong after that, write to us with the script’s title. It is not something you can be expected to fix, and we’d like to know.

I changed my script after sharing it. My cast still has the old version.

That’s expected — a share is a snapshot, so your later edits don’t follow it automatically. Editing is deliberately safe: you can rework a script without anything changing under your cast mid-rehearsal.

To send the changes, share the script again. The code stays the same, and everyone who already imported it gets the new version on their next open — they don’t need to re-enter anything.

Does it work with musicals?

It handles the spoken lines. Répliq reads dialogue in character voices and listens while you speak yours; it doesn’t sing, and it won’t rehearse song lyrics with you. For a book musical, the scenes between the numbers work exactly as they do in a straight play.

Does it work without a connection?

Yes, once a script and its voices have downloaded. Rehearsal itself runs entirely on your device — the voices are already there and speech recognition is done by the phone — so a rehearsal on a bus or backstage needs nothing. You need a connection to add a script, import a code, or pick up a director’s corrections.

I’m directing more shows than my subscription includes.

Write to us — the next one’s on us. Six classes with six different scripts is a real situation, and we’d rather hear from you than leave you stuck with it.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, so they’re cancelled on your device rather than in the App: open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Répliq. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves the current period running.

Your scripts stay on your account, and your cast keeps rehearsing everything you already shared with them.

How do I delete my account and everything in it?

In the App’s settings, under Account, there’s Delete Account. It permanently removes your account and everything we hold on our servers, and it can’t be undone.

What has already been downloaded to your phone isn’t touched by that — deleting the App itself is what removes those copies. What we hold and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy.
